Gobierno dispone cambios en las Fuerzas Armadas

El presidente Ollanta Humala relevó a los comandantes generales del Ejército y la Fuerza Aérea del Perú. Se nombró hoy al general de división Víctor Manuel Ripalda Ganoza como nuevo comandante general del Ejército; y al teniente general Pedro Joaquín Seabra Pinedo, comandante general de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú (FAP).
También se dieron por concluidas las funciones del general del Ejército Paul Tito da Silva Gamarra como comandante general del Ejército, pasándolo a la condición de retiro con 38 años de servicio.
S e dieron por concluidas las funciones del general del Aire Carlos Eduardo Samamé Quiñones, como comandante general de la Fuerza Aérea del Perú, pasándolo a la situación militar de retiro y reconociéndole 38 años de servicio.
Los nombramientos fueron oficializados mediante resoluciones supremas, publicadas en el boletín de Normas Legales del Diario Oficial El Peruano, y son refrendadas por las rúbricas del Presidente de la República, Ollanta Humala Tasso; y del ministro de Defensa, Daniel Mora Zevallos.
El 9 de diciembre de 2005, en plena campaña electoral presidencial, el general Da Silva, en discurso público por el Día del Ejército, atacó al entonces candidato Humala, tildándolo como una amenaza para la democracia y atribuyéndole una presunta ideología “comunista”.
El comandante general de la FAP Carlos Samamé, según las fuentes consultadas, fue relevado por cuestionamientos a su desempeño cuando estalló el caso del técnico FAP Víctor Ariza Mendoza, juzgado y condenado por espiar a favor de Chile.
