La situación en Siria es preocupante y una vez más los EE.UU., erigiéndose en gendarme del mundo, pretende invadir Siria en nombre de la "Libertad" y los "derechos humanos".
Tu predecesor George W. Bush en su locura mesiánica supo instrumentalizar el fundamentalismo religioso para llevar a cabo las guerras mesiánicas en Afganistán e Irak. Cuando declaraba que conversaba con Dios, y Dios le decía que tenía que atacar a Irak, lo hacía porque era dictamen de Dios exportar la "libertad" al mundo.
Tú has hablado, con motivo de los 50 años de la muerte del Reverendo Luther King, también Premio Nobel de la Paz, de la necesidad de completar el "Sueño"de la mesa compartida, de quien fuera la más significativa expresión de lucha por los derechos civiles contra el racismo en la primera democracia esclavista del mundo. Luther King fue un hombre que dio su vida para dar vida, y por eso es un mártir de nuestro tiempo. Lo mataron después de la Marcha sobre Washington porque amenazaba con desobediencia civil a seguir siendo cómplices de la guerra imperialista contra el pueblo de Vietnam.
¿Realmente crees que invadir militarmente a otro pueblo es aportar a ese sueño?
Armar rebeldes para luego autorizar la intervención de la OTAN, no es algo nuevo por parte de tu país y tus aliados. Tampoco es nuevo que EE.UU. pretenda invadir países acusándolos de posesión de armas de destrucción masiva, que en el caso de Irak resultó no ser cierto. Tu país ha apoyado el régimen de Saddam Hussein que utilizó armas químicas para aniquilar a la población kurda y contra la Revolución Iraní y no hizo nada para sancionarlo porque en ese momento eran aliados. Sin embargo ahora pretenden invadir Siria sin siquiera saber los resultados de las investigaciones que está haciendo la ONU por autorización del mismo gobierno Sirio. Ciertamente que el uso de las armas químicas es inmoral y condenable, pero tu gobierno no tiene autoridad moral alguna para justificar una intervención.
El Secretario General de Naciones Unidas, Ban Ki-moon, expresó que un ataque militar en Siria podría empeorar el conflicto.
Mi país, la Argentina, que se encuentra ejerciendo la Presidencia del Consejo de Seguridad de la ONU, ha hecho pública su posición contra una intervención militar extranjera en la República Siria negándose a ser "cómplice de nuevas muertes".
El Papa Francisco también llamó a globalizar el pedido de paz y decretó una jornada de ayuno y oración en contra de la guerra para el día 7 de septiembre, a la cual nos adherimos.
Hasta tu histórico aliado, Gran Bretaña, se ha negado (al menos de momento) a ser parte de la invasión.
Tu país está transformando la "Primavera Árabe" en el infierno de la OTAN, provocando guerras en el Medio Oriente y desatando la rapiña de las corporaciones internacionales. La invasión que pretendes llevará a más violencia y más muertes, así como a la desestabilización de Siria y de la región. ¿Con qué objetivo? El lúcido analista, Robert Fisk, ha precisado que el objetivo es Irán y postergar la concreción del estado palestino, no es la indignación que producen la muerte de cientos de niños sirios lo que los motiva a ustedes a intervenir militarmente. Y justamente cuando ha triunfado en Irán un gobierno moderado, donde se podría tratar de contribuir a lograr escenarios de negociación pacífica a los conflictos existentes. Esa política será suicida de tu parte y de tu país.
Siria necesita una solución política, no militar. La comunidad internacional debe dar su apoyo a las organizaciones sociales que buscan la paz. El pueblo sirio, como cualquier otro, tiene derecho a su autodeterminación y a definir su propio proceso democrático y debemos ayudar en lo que nos necesiten.
Obama, tu país no tiene autoridad moral, ni legitimidad, ni legalidad para invadir Siria ni ningún otro país. Mucho menos luego de haber asesinado 220.000 personas en Japón lanzando bombas de destrucción masiva.
Ningún congresista del parlamento de Estados Unidos puede legitimar lo ilegitimable, ni legalizar lo ilegalizable. En especial teniendo en cuenta lo que dijo have unos días el ex presidente norteamericano James Carter: "EE.UU. no tiene una democracia que funcione".
Las escuchas ilegales que realiza tu gobierno al pueblo norteamericano parecen no ser del todo eficientes, porque según una encuesta pública de Reuters, el 60% de los estadounidenses se oponen a la invasión que quieres llevar a cabo.
Por eso te pregunto Obama ¿A quién obedeces?
Tu gobierno se ha convertido en un peligro para el equilibrio internacional y para el propio pueblo estadounidense. EE.UU. se ha vuelto un país que no puede dejar de exportar muerte para mantener su economía y poderío. Nosotros no dejaremos de intentar impedirlo.
Yo estuve en Irak luego de los bombardeos que realizó EE.UU. en la década de los 90's, antes de la invasión que derrocó a Sadham Hussein. Vi un refugio lleno de niños y mujeres asesinados por misiles teledirigidos. "Daños colaterales" los llaman Uds.
Los pueblos están diciendo ¡BASTA! a las guerras. La humanidad reclama la Paz y el derecho a vivir en libertad. Los pueblos quieren transformar las armas en arados, y el camino para lograrlo es "DESARMAR LAS CONCIENCIAS ARMADAS".
Obama, nunca olvides que siempre recogemos los frutos de lo que sembramos. Cualquier ser humano debería sembrar paz y humanidad, más aún un Premio Nobel de la Paz. Espero que no termines convirtiendo el "sueño de fraternidad" que anhelaba Luther King en una pesadilla para los pueblos y la humanidad.

An Open Letter to Barack Hussein Obama President of the United States of Northamerica
The situation in Syria is worrisome, and once more the United States, acting as the policeman of the world, asserts the right to invade Syria in the name of "liberty" and "human rights".
Your predecessor George W. Bush, in his messianic madness, knew how to use religious fundamentalism to carry out the messianic wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. When Bush declared that he had talked with God, and that God had told him that he had to attack Iraq, he did so, it because God had ordered that "liberty" be exported to the world.
On the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the death of Reverend Luther King, also a Nobel Peace Laureate, you spoke of the need to fulfill the "Dream" of the shared table, of he who was the most important expression of the struggle for civil rights, and against the racism of the world's first enslaving democracy. Luther King gave his life in order to give life, and for that he is a martyr of our time. He was killed after the March on Washington because his civil disobedience was a threat to those who continued to be accomplices of the imperialist war against the people of Vietnam. Do you really believe that to militarily invade another people is to contribute to the fulfillment of that Dream?
To arm rebels and then authorize the intervention of NATO is nothing new to your country and your allies. Neither is it new that, as a pretext for invading them, the United States accuses countries of having weapons of mass destruction, which, in the case of Iraq turned out not to be true. Your country supported the regime of Saddam Hussein, who used chemical weapons to annihilate the Kurdish population and against the Iranian Revolution. It did nothing to punish them, because at that moment they were allies. But now you threaten to invade Syria, without even knowing the results of the UN investigation, carried out with the authorization of the Syrian government itself. The use of chemical weapons is certainly immoral and condemnable, but your government lacks the moral authority to justify an intervention.

Even your historic ally, Great Britain, has refused (at least for now) to be part of the invasion.
Your country is turning the "Arab Spring" into the hell of NATO, provoking wars in the Middle East and unleashing the violent thievery of the international corporations. The invasion that you seek will bring more violence and more deaths, and instability to Syria and to the region as well. With what objective? The lucid analyst, Robert Fisk, has pointed out that what motivates you to intervene militarily is Iran, and to delay the concretion of the Palestinian State, not the indignation produced by the death of hundreds of Syrian children. And this, just as a moderate government has come to power in Iran, and attempts could be made to contribute to the goal of peaceful negotiations on existing conflicts. Such a policy would be suicidal for you and for your country.
Syria needs a political solution, not a military one. The international community must support the social organizations that seek peace. The Syrian people, as any other, has the right to self-determination and to define its own democratic process. We must help when they need us.
Obama, your country lacks the moral authority, the legitimacy and legality to invade Syria or any other country, particularly after having murdered 220,000 people in Japan, with bombs of mass destruction.
No member of the Congress of the United States can legitimize what cannot be legitimated. Especially considering what former Northamerican President James Carter said a few days ago: "The United States does not have a funtioning democracy."
The illegal wire-tapping that your government conducts of the Northamerican people does not seem to be very efficient, because according to a Reuters public poll, 60% of the citizens of the United States oppose the invasion you want to carry out.
This is why I ask you. Obama: whom do you obey?
Your government has become a danger to international equilibrium and to the Northamerican people themselves. The United States has turned out to be a country that cannot stop exporting death, in order to maintain her economy and power. We will not stop trying to prevent it.
I was in Iraq after the bombardments by the United States in the 1990's, before the invasion that toppled Sadham Hussein. I saw a refugee camp filled with children and women murdered by remote-controlled missiles. You call them "Collateral damage".
The people are saying to war ¡BASTA! Humanity demands Peace and the right to live in liberty. The people of the world want to transform weapons into ploughshares, and the path to accomplish it is, "TO DISARM THE ARMED CONSCIOUSNESS".
Obama, never forget that we always reap the fruits of what we sowed. Any human being should plant peace and humanity, particularly a Nobel Peace Laureate. I hope you do not wind up converting the "dream of fraternity" that Luther King longed for into a nightmare for the people and humanity.
